Introduction to my Blog

Hi everybody :)

For a month or so I've been feeling in a bit of a funk about my current interests (public transport, urbanism, politics, education, etc.) because I feel as though I have absorbed as much knowledge as is enjoyable, but had no way to get it out of my head. So I've been stuck just thinking about it a ton but not producing anything concrete with it, which is kind of disheartening. My girlfriend convinced me it would be a good idea to get some of these ideas out of my head and onto the internet so that it would be easier to think about and so that I could feel like I am creating something tangible. So I revived this old abandoned website of mine for that purpose.

I stripped back a lot of the frills of the old website, such as the cute choo-choo train marquee at the top or the fancy (for me) formating with a table/text box in the middle and decorations on the side. Even though I did like them, the idea was to simplify the code of each webpage so I don't get bogged down in all sorts of extra stuff on the creation of a new page and can just focus on the content in the body section of the page. The one complexity I did add was a comments section at the bottom of each page, so that, at least theoretically, I am not just yelling into the void.

Of course, adding this chatbox added a whole new layer of complexity... So I may change it to only be on some pages, so I don't have to keep up with making a new chat for every page. Idk... I'll cross that bridge when I come to it, which I think will be soon. For now tho, most of the chatboxes don't work - there are a few that do tho, like on the homepage. You can always still comment on my profile or contact me through one of the other channels. [EDIT: I did remove a bunch of the chatboxes, so now they are only on pages where it makes sense to have them. Not all of them work yet either, Chattable is being fussy. I'll probably slowly add some more chatboxes to more pages as time goes on and I have the energy, but it wont be a priority.]

Anywho, I hope to use these blog posts to just get a bunch of random ideas out of my head and into words, and if other people wanna look at them, thats fun :) If not, meh, it's basically just a project for myself anyway. Hopefully I can actually stick to this to some extent (probably not long term nor consistently but its fun to have when I want it. I hope you are all doing wonderfully, peace and love to all by internet friends.
