Adding a Quotes page and professing my love for John Dewey

Hola amigos,

Nothing fancy for a blog post today. I added a "Quotes" page to my directory with a running collection of a bunch of quotes that I like, in no particular order. A lot of them I found on a random binge quote-finding session for quotes about democracy. I'm a (soon to be) science teacher and a big lover of democracy - and, thus, by combination, John Dewey (who I think is like the coolest thinker of the 20th century - I will have to get into this further in the future but I feel like I agree with him philosophically so much). So I started out trying to find some quotes by him that I might be able to hang up on the walls of my classroom to be all inspirational and such. It then turned into a dive into as many quotes as i could find about democracy and liberatory ideals by cool people I like.

Some of the quotes, mostly towards the bottom, are from different sources tho. A few I heard in person, others I collected a while back on unrelated quote-finding missions. I was into G.K. Chesterton and distributism a little while back, so you can see some echos of that in the quotes from that era.

I always love to hear more quotes, especially on democracy and science. So when I finally get the chatboxes up and working, feel free to send me some (I say, as if anyone is actually reading this and it isn't just a therapeutic exercise).
